TEXT: Revelations 19:11-16
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Revelations is the book of types, and symbols to depict what God would have us to know of His message to us in fighting this spiritual warfare, of what is now, has been, and will come to pass. We see here Christ on the white horse out of the stable fighting sin with His judgment,... against All darkness. Wherever God's people are gathered, "Heaven is opened". Ephesians 2: 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in HEAVENLY PLACES in Christ Jesus: God's people are fighting this battle in Heavenly places against the powers of darkness and sin. There is spiritual warfare wherever God's people are gathered.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Christ ruled with the rod of iron which is the Word of God. Jesus is the same who sits on that white horse with eyes as the flame of fire. All who follow Him also ride white horses clothed the same in white linen of righteousness, that comes from Jesus. The nations are a picture of those souls who will be conquered by the Word of God. It will deal with those who are yet not conquered. Christ ruled with the rod of iron which is the Word of God. Jesus presses out the blood of the wine grapes, which are a symbol of Christ, holiness, and God's people. A symbol of the captain of the host using the word of God, to press out that which would be pleasing to God.
Revelations 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
He has made us kings and priests!
Revelations 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. A symbol that He was clothed in vestures dipped in His blood of forgiveness. Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or WRINKLE, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
A lot of people still have their horse in the stable. As His followers we are also to have our horse out of the stable in forgiveness. As His children we will not be subject to stains of hypocrisy, bitter attitudes, two faced, etc. When He sees us He cleanses all who will be His children,.. helping all that will be obedient.
All Christs children are clothed in white linen garments and become free from the sinful habits of this life.
God's children and soldiers as followers, are not bred by the word to be sickly, but powerful with "horses," not suffering defeat spiritually.
Psalms 84:7 They go from STRENGTH TO STRENGTH, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
We are in a spiritual war to fight it's forces, and must do battle against it. Diplomacy of warfare must be used against sinful powers. Cannot be naive to use "pollyannish" ideas to spiritually battle sin, as not everyone really does have your best interest. Yet our warfare is not carnal.
II Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are NOT CARNAL, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) We are not against any person, but the spiritual forces of a sinful society. Is your horse yet in the stable?? We must be riding, not walking, not fighting in your strength, but following that same horse as is Christ our leader.
Revelations 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5: Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Dealing with those whose love is no longer "hot",...but lukewarm. A rider fallen from his horse and on foot, is an easy target for the enemy! Jesus is still on His horse and wants us to follow Him, not of foot (lukewarm). Is your horse back in the stable??
Revelations 2:12-14
And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
13: I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14: But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
God wants us in this battle to be living free from sin,..against the powers of sin's darkness. God is against those teachings so prevalent in church society today, that we cannot live above sin, yet claiming the victory. That is why He died,.. so we could have access to His power over All darkness! "These" doctrines cause people to sin and must be defeated,...otherwise you will be an easy target for the enemy! Have you lost your joy? God has victory,.. you may "wobble" on the horse, but hang on! Nehemiah 8:10c ;.. for the JOY OF THE LORD is your strength. The joy of the Lord keeps us On the horse,.. In the battle!
Revelations 2:18-21,23 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
19: I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
20: Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21: And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
23: And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
God hates anything that "allows" sin to remain. The unfaithful Jezebel spirit is in the world today, and must not be tolerated. A faithful spirit will honor Christ by their obedience! That is why the "Horse rider Christ" set the example being clothed in white linen, meaning HOLY and not tolerating sin, so as to petition for His people. Ask yourself,... what is the significance of "fine white linen" mean? (Rev 19:14)
Don't judge the matter by being a "foot soldier",...God give His war horses power OVER sin.
Revelations 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
The places of spiritual warfare are "messy and bloody," yet necessary against those spiritual conditions that hold people in bondage. It must be gone out against. Must be On the horse,.. Out of the stable,... against the powers of flesh and darkness. Cannot "rest" on your experience or "laurels." Otherwise you will be drawn into a "lukewarm" condition and go back to those selfish and fleshly desires of pride, division, etc. Must get back on the horse and fight to do battle against sin.
Christ army produces:
1. Super teenagers
2. Valuable adults (with Real values)
3. Top employees and employers
4. Scholars, citizens, etc. you can be proud of
5. Beautiful women and handsome men in the true sense of attractive
6. Best true musicians
Get the horse out of the stable. Defeat self pity, etc. Be an attractive presence of God. It is an attitude and desire that will make opportunities that otherwise will not be there.
