Building fresh,..to build a building you prepare the sod, or ground to be structurally sound for the foundation. What am I going to build? For the "newness" I am going to discard the old and interfering obstacles,..anything less of value. Likewise your life needs that clearing of anything of less value except that which will contribute towards God. Getting back to the valuable spiritually, and clearing out that which is only of the temporal, is to get to The Nature of God. Most failure in religion is because they forget the "Essence" of God. When religion forgets, or discounts the essence of God, so many "things" add up or gather in of many ideas, that are not founded in scripture. People forget, and begin to "see" God in that way. Their "vision " and mind become acclimated to a "lesser" way. The Essence of God. First to "consider" Him,..to consider "serving" Him.
TEXT: Genesis 1:1-4
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
God is introduced to us as Creator. Is that our declaration to others? "Seeking" the Creator, one must decide to set a quiet place and time to truly hear the "voice" of God in your heart, to know what God wants to say to You.
You must drive out the mind "distractions of negativism as,.. "too different", or "too hopeless." "Quiet" those oppressive and opposing "voices." Let God "speak" to my spirit over the many layers of different thoughts, or voices to truly hear the essence of and nature of God.
Pastor Goble told "the" what and how "convicted" his soul was of "The Essence of God,.. because he did not really know Him, only of Him. God desires us to Know Him, have a "housewarming party", for Him to really reveal Himself,..who He Is!! People are too often distracted by the many different religions and religious ideas, and outward differences. Different dress,.,."routines", talk, actions. material status, heritage,..and etc. It is Not God's desire to have such differences that separate us. God doesn't want us to have to choose from those differences. He does not want us confused by unnecessary separations,.. or many ways. It is truly a disservice to God.
It is not about the different existing "comfort" levels, but everyone should be able to get the same message of substance ,...a life free From sin. Humans layering "things" instead of focusing on the "essence." Theologies, books, etc. distract from the essence. So much is too technical for the clear essence of who God is. Too many teach the theological technicalities instead of the simple essence of Salvation From sin. We need to get back to the "nature " of God. This world needs "us" to live the essence,..of God. Do you know someone who could benefit,..or yourself, from a personal introduction to God? We must never be ashamed to declare,.. "I would like to Know God!" Will you worship the "layers" or,.. The Essence?" It is needful to examine,.."What is your relationship with,.. The Creator?"
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. The child has one opinion, and the parent another opinion. These are "layers." Practical thinking enters here. Example is clothing, .."tight" loose of dress, illustrates the layers of thinking involved. So busy is it, we need to remember to go back to the Essence of God, which will truly solve all in our "mentality." Quieting the "voices",..just Listen for the Essence of God!
Luke 10: 40-42 40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Martha,...busy about many things. Mary chose the good and important part. Time is short. We have one shot in this life to listen to God's Essence and Nature. "Clear" away the darkness. Again, Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Nothing...before God made Something! God is good at making something out of nothing! The light of God was that something.
God is also a sustainer. Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. God made a way for His creations to sustain itself. God is a reproducer for both His creations of the living creatures and mankind. Genesis 1: 22,28 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Isaiah 41:13-14 13: For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. 14: Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
God's provisions for us is, 1) Creates 2) Sustains 3) Helps He is our helper, He desires to help. Are we too busy with our "layers" to receive it ? Too many distractions? We must Allow His help. God desires to be a very present help. Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Back to Isaiah 41:14 If I think of myself as a worm, as like Jacob here, I can let God's help me, being able then to see how needy I am. I must quit thinking of the importance of myself. Being as that 'worm Jacob", then I can hear in my heart, God's voice, (or Nature or Essence.) If all would "lower" our self perception to that of a worm, we could all see our need of His thoughts, Nature, help, or Essence.
Ezekiel 37:1-10 Here in this chapter we see an illustration again of His sustaining powers. Do you have dead dry bones, empty of His help? If sin is in our hearts we are dead in sin,.. dead to God. But God desires to help! God assembled those dry bones here, gave life to that dead past life. We have all been here. No matter how temporally good, if sin resides there you are spiritually dead. God revives all that we have. Listen,..for His voice, Nature, or Essence. Genesis 1:29-30 29: And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30: And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. When you become self sufficient spiritually, you spiritually die. God's desires life to be sustained. When human thoughts and or ways interfere, anyone can potentially and do often die spiritually.
Do you need a personal introduction to God? We all need God's Nature. Those without it, need restoration in Him. God desires to help! He is the only one that can restore us to His nature, a soul restoration to God's Essence and not just fleshly changing (or theatrical) After the initial "move" to change,....how do you live after the "presentation" to decide to serve Him?
The pastor spoke of how in the we have all heard of those that were as elders in a particular church embezzling the church goods" while professing God's redemption! Beware such spiritual death. How much better instead to be as the worm of Jacob, and have God's benevolent help! Being wholly honest and having lowly humility rather than losing your soul! The essence of God, is the absence of self! It is the personal introduction to God! How he has and can continue to restore messed up lives, if we will let Him! Do you know of one who needs God? Fathom the miracle of God taking truly messed up lives, and restoring them for His Glory! He did and continues to take nothing, and making something for His Glory! You must seek and trust the Creator, ..only His nature can help and change you. We are the only ones who can keep ourself from Him,..and His help. You must want to be changed.
James 4:7-8 7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8: Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Anything that reduces God's influences is a bad thing. Conversely,..anything that increases God's influences,..is a good thing! It is not sufficient to have a case of the "do betters." He will make you accountable of your "worm condition" in need of His nature and essence. Discard the "layers" or distractions from God's Essence and Nature. God's Nature will not change! The layers of fleshly ideas will! We must desire His Nature and Essence for ourselves,..to increase in Him.
