Have You Crowned Jesus King in Your Life..As in The Prophecy of the Messiah?

Download... December 20, 2009. Sunday Morning Service. Bro. Dave Goble.

Preliminary scripture exhortation:
Revelations 6:1,2 Victory to Victory, not to defeat.  A crown was given to Him by anyone who would crown Him King.  Scripturally a crown was reserved for the King, or high priest.  Jesus was anointed with spiritual oil by His Father, and became the King of Kings!  He is given a crown from everyone who would serve or crown Him as such!   There were and are those who would not be subject to Him.  He is the Judge regardless of those who do not crown Him and serve Him.  A crown of righteousness Jesus paid for, in the price of His sufferings.

TEXT Matthew 1:18-21

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

19  Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

20  But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

21  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Those suffering while serving Christ are a good example of Christ being crowned in their lives.  Verse 21..."He shall save His people From their sins."

Isaiah 52:13-15, 53:1-12 These scripture here are known as the Prophecy of the Messiah.  verse 13: There are those who will exalt Him through their prudent service to God. These are His people who crown Him.  These are those spiritually exalted by God, because they have crowned him with, and by their lives. He has made Himself known to those who truly are living for Him, through His kindness demonstrated in their lives, toward others.  God causes us to consider, so we can serve and crown Him.  This is the passage (above) of "The prophecy of "The Suffering Servant."  There is no scripture before and after like this in substance.  Isaiah "differentiated" in this from the rest of his poetic book.  Isaiah "stands alone" revealing clearly Jesus., more than other scriptures, for Christ was shown here to be our suffering servant.  He revealed to us someone who suffered for our iniquities.  Past tense indicates it already happened, and continues to happen for us, and our redemption.

Our suffering servant Christ, the servant of His brethren, and all who choose to serve and crown Him.  Jesus took our sins and nailed them to the cross, ..a man acquainted with sorrows. God has risen in our hearts.  We can only be what we are,.. we cannot be others about their problems.

Some believe that certain prophecies are not yet fulfilled, such as "peace on earth good will towards men."  "They" believe the kingdom is yet to be established in a literal Jerusalem,... in a physical kingdom to come.  This belief is because of an outward interpretation of the flesh, and not a spiritual one of the heart.  Man's heart nature needs to be changed to correctly implement the meaning of God's promise.  Luke 17: 20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God IS WITHIN YOU. So we see here, the scriptural basis of not a outward,.. but a heart kingdom. When we allow God to change our heart nature, the kingdom of peace is fulfilled in our heart then! Then is where we crown Him, the Messiah, King and Lord of all,.. in our life.  Man's nature must change for peace to reign, which otherwise will not, even after Christ's return.  The nature must be changed Now, on the inside!
Isaiah 53 is still talking about His people.  The Messiah Has come,..not will, already with His first descent on earth. The confusion comes when people will not change, or serve and crown Christ Lord of Lords! Too often people have a false hope that the Messiah has not yet come.  You oppose His will, then your nature will never change to peace. There is no true serving Him, when you hold on to a future reign to come.

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?  John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. Jesus came in the flesh, and still, some do not believe. Too many still deny the prophecies as pertaining to Christ.  When we do not receive (present tense) the Messiah, then we are not His.
Isaiah 53:2 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
There were no open prophecies when Jesus came, God chose this time for Christ to be that tender plant.
Matthew 13:54,57 54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 57:And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. Christ did not come in a way that is attractive to the fleshly, or outer man. It is not out of ignorance that we believe God's word,.. or not. God has revealed Himself to us, for the desire to do right,.. to please Him. God made a way to serve and live for Him everyday, whether we choose Him,..or not.
Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
He was despised and rejected by many, yet those seeking Him, found Him, not as a literal and outward or fleshly king.  There was no beauty to desire Him. No beautiful presentation in appearances.  Yet,..God chose Him to be "un-comely" so we would not worship His flesh. We instead worship the God In the man.
verse 3 we hid our face
{from the Sepuagint bible Esaias} or Isaiah 53:3
3 But his form was ignoble, and inferior to that of the children of men; he was a man in suffering, and acquainted with the bearing of sickness, for his face is turned from us: he was dishonoured, and not esteemed.

We can see here that this scripture indicates Christ face was turned from us in the midst of His sufferings based on carrying Our sins.  God turned His face because of our sins,..not Jesus sins( He had None) He carried it All.  Jesus was looked away from by God the Father. My face was also hidden from Christ because of my sinful ways.
Matthew 26:56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.  All forsook Him and fled when Jesus was captured.  We fled when Jesus was first presented to us.

"Too straight and narrow?" It is,.. what it is!  It is Jesus' way, and not that of secular religion's way. Many  religions will "steal" a pure relationship with Jesus because their way is not the straight way.
Jesus the King is likened in the bible, as the bridegroom, and His church as His bride. The bride and bridegroom do not keep secrets from each other in a loving committed relationship.  They do not need to escape from each other as many might who are not truly committed to each other. If our relationship is truly proper it will not be as one who needs to separate for selfish reasons.
Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Matthew 11:28-30 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29: Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30: For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Jesus desires to carry our burdens,..yet many do not give their sorrows and griefs to Him,... potentially too independent on their own strength.   We only can only continue to go forward by us continuing to give Christ all our griefs, torments, problems to Him. How many times people pull back holding on to grudges, and hurts against themselves.  There is no rest unless you give it all up,..  cast it All on Jesus.  Yet I must cry Help to Christ, to cast it upon Him.  Then the peace Will come!

Matthew 26:67
Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, Unfair hearing beaten,..beaten because of us!  I can either "cower," or accept His rest, for His yoke is easy, His burden is light.
Matthew 11:29-30
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my YOKE IS EASY, and my burden is light.

If married,.. Is your "yoke" in marriage because of love... or guilt?  No!  You hopefully love your companion.
Jesus lovingly looked for the one sheep who was lost.  Not mean, but lovingly picked up an put it on His shoulders.  Rejoicing when while taking the sheep,..I found my one lost sheep.
Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Luke 15:1-7 1:Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.
2: And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. 3: And he spake this parable unto them, saying, 4: What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5: And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6: And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7: I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Matthew 27:12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.  He answered them,..not a word!  Jesus kept his focus on His necessary suffering to redeem souls.
Isaiah 53:11,12 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12: Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Jesus bore the price and penalty for many but not everyone,...Because everyone will not accept, serve or crown Lord in their life.  God has made it possible for All,  but you must submit to have your sins borne.   For them He has not borne their sins, until they submit themselves fully.
God desires you to crown Him Lord of All.  He looks not to condemn,..but redeem.  You can be that one in 99 sheep,..needing Christ to pick you up.  It is not about rules and regulations,..but a Personal relationship!
