TEXT JOHN 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
To be raised up at that last day,..we must have had God Draw us unto Him, so that at That Last Day, we might be Raised Up,..to Him. God is still on His throne, and still drawing souls to Him. How necessary it is to have God convict us and draw us to Him. "Drawing," or Convicting, must take place, ..if we ever hope to see God. We must have an ear to hear.
You had enough desire to come to this morning service,..yet you need more,.. we All need God to "Draw" us to Him. What God offers is not a "smorgasbord",..Not a "pick and choose from." We Must be drawn by His Spirit.,..be convicted of what He desires us to have. God needs to "Draw." There is not enough conviction "working" even around The Church. The trials of life can distract us from God's conviction of our needs. What happens to me through out life...it affects me, the way I worship, live,..and "see" God. All true, but we still sometimes get "The cart before the horse." The cart represents our "problems," us, our life in "general." If we get those temporal (cart) problems before the horse, (the Holy Spirit), ..we in effect put our "problems" Ahead of the One who would solve them. Essentially,..backwards. Salvation should Always lead. Yet..often my life,..ways,..circumstances, begin to in error, affect in our guidance rather than the Holy Spirit. We can "say" God leads,..but if your life is distracting or distracted, That is,...what is "pulling" us. God is in the miracle mind healing business! He still needs to lead through His drawing to lead us! One reason "carts" get ahead of the "horses",....is because people do not "seek" the convicting of God's power! God can heal our weaknesses! I need to want to have my problems solved! We Can be healed! We must desire God's Convicting Power of our needs. It is Our responsibility though,.. to seek for the Answer! Often,..when I am "afflicted", we might be choosing our lack,.. by our inaction. Pray for God to "Draw" me,...."Feed" me! God Needs to draw us,..pray for His Conviction about our needs,..pleasant or not. He Can heal!
Matthew 4:17-22 They were ordinary fisher men, going about life with it's problems, like us with our problems. Their life was as ours, filled with problems such as the sometimes poor economics of "the price of fish not being sufficient", and /or the negative and political climate of that time. Then Jesus walked by,..the sea of Galilee. They had not anticipated The Christ to come by and beckon them to follow Him. No doubt Jesus acquainted Himself to them,..convicting them with His spirit,..."drew" them. So they immediately followed Him, and then came upon the other fishermen brothers, to Also "follow" Him, through His conviction. "Stirred" to leave their nets and work. Today,..we need that same conviction power to "leave" our daily distractions, to value conviction,..and "follow Him." What is it that "turns off" conviction? Our pride, our personal ways,..excuses, why it doesn't apply which diminishes the value of conviction. Putting other things between us and God. Conviction causes us to undesirably deny self. Even around God's body, there is not enough conviction of God's spirit. Who still wants to be a "fisher of men?" "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Matthew 6:21 That is where conviction will be. What God wants,..should be your conviction.
Peter had a need, an empty net,... or his "cart." Without his net, no fish,..a necessity of his everyday life to financially sustain him. Want to be a "fisher of men?" Leave your "net." Put the horse, (Holy Spirit) Before the "cart,"....a Spiritual concept. If our flesh "cart," has recently been getting in front of the "horse",(the Holy Spirit),..Backwards,..the lack of conviction. Conviction will put that "cart" in The Back of the "horse" where it belongs. Is the plan of God,..still your treasure? Is the "horse" or God,..pulling Your "cart?" What is in my cart? My home, job,..children-saved and unsaved, my parents, family, etc. We are all in our pastor's Br D Goble's "cart." All of our problems, all our family, our livelihood-finances, or lack of, ..are in our Pastor's "cart."
It takes Prayer to want God to draw me to Him. Everything is right before us, our "cart," which needs to Stay behind the "horse." We need to look to the "horse" or Christ, to be properly guided.
Have you ever seen those strong horses with their glistening planks to pull that cart, which needs to be in the back? God condemns those that put the cart first. The one who cannot forgive,..is the one who cannot receive conviction,..or receive forgiveness for them. True lack of forgiveness is the "worst place" to be in. God Knows the motivation of the heart. God can help you forgive, to be properly convicted,.. for forgiveness to work. Is pride your enemy? It will hinder your responsibility to be kind, forgiving. I need to let the conviction Melt the pride away, be humble and see my Own problems to be repented of. Not be focused on an "offending" action towards myself.
"No man can come to me,.... except the Father which hath sent me draw him,... and raise him up in the last day." Only through God's convicting of your needs. We must not "rely" on our "limitations" that afflict,..we must not "discount" the power of God's power to overcome. It must not be our "excuse,".. to not be Able to overcome. Have we forgotten.. what God has done for us? How God forgave, delivered, and reversed the sinful damage? The "meanest" saint(the saved), is better than the "nicest" sinner(the unsaved)...because of what God has done for us. How can there be a "mean" saint? We all simply as humans,.. have different personalities.
God is Still on His throne,..He has numbered your days. In the book of Daniel, the fifth chapter, we read about King Belshazzar, on one evening, his kingdom was destroyed, because he ignored the "handwriting on the wall." Beware of ignoring God writing on our "heart walls of our conscience." Do we "debate" the issues of our life, while God is "writing" on our heart's wall, or conscience? Don't ignore Him! What would have happened if those had not ignored Him, writing that warning, and listened as those of Nineveh listened? God would have saved them as well! God is Faithful! Are we "looking" for His writing on our heart? Or are we complacently denying the conviction, letting it become "tasteless",...and ignoring it? Don't ignore the handwriting on Your heart's wall! That warning that can prevent hopelessness! There is Hope! There is something that Can be done! God is Faithful with His Convictions of Drawing and deliverance! Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Without Conviction, we live in the shadow of death, with no purpose. But God Saved Me! But...what did You do, to Keep the conviction for His guidance,..instead of distractions of the world's "smorgasbord,"...which is tasteless compared to God's green pastures? Conviction will cause you to taste and see! You will be dissatisfied with the world IF you desire His Convictions. I am accountable for when God would or can reveal Himself. Be a Truth Seeker. Seek all for what God would reveal to you for your needs, and self denial.
In the recent past news, we heard of a "sweat lodge incident", where two lost their lives and many others were hospitalized, all because they were "aimlessly" looking for,.. what they really had no clue. They lost their lives in vain for the world. Not a Truth Seeker. A truth seeker's "fruit" is mercy and compassion, which the leader of "this group" showed none of. "He" advised them wrong without the instruction of Repentance. God's proper focus for us is Clear, and not Drawing us into the "worldly shadow lands." Get "hyper-focused" on God and His works! It will bring real change based on real Conviction! There will be a longing for an Answer from God,..when Conviction is working. A drawing to make or bring us,.. Nearer to God! Conviction is Sweet, and validates God is still drawing us close to Him. It Reveals to us our needs,.. while offering the help needed. Conviction..that handwriting on the wall of our heart, is for God to help me see consistently,..His Way. The Conqueror Will come through the door,..because the handwriting is on the wall! You will become a spiritual "fossil," hard and empty, without that Conviction! Beware to heed and want that conviction from God Always. Problems then will be resolved! God has not delegated us to convict others,..that is God's job only! We pray for God to Convict,..but leave our tongue silent, if not we destroy God's effect of Conviction and Drawing. We Must Desire and pray for Conviction.
